Summer
hours
Bring
your friends & visitors down to enjoy our new summer menu! Lunch menu is from
12 – 2.30pm, there are some nice refreshing dishes and a few favourites.
We
also have a introduced a new summer dinner menu. A new look with added fresh ingredient dishes
and revised favourites. Pop into the
clubrooms to check them out and have a bite or two.
Cocktails for Summer From Saturday 27th December we
will be having a ‘cocktail menu’. Come
down and order a cocktail or two, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and
perfect for kicking back with mates on the deck. Available from 12noon
everyday. $10 each.
Kids
Wharf Competition: Our annual kids wharf
comp is on this Saturday 28th December (Sunday). This one is not to be missed, we have had an
overwhelming response from business from our community for prizes, donations,
starter bag fillers, bait, you name it we have it!! This comp is for under 12’s. Only $2 per
angler entry fee and fishing starts at 9.30am
Anyone
can enter! For early registration, we are offering members to come to the
clubrooms on Saturday 27th December from 5pm – 7pm so you can secure
your spot on the wharf early, otherwise registration is from 9am at the wharf
on the day

Offshore
Some fine weather has
led to a few people heading out wide in the last few days, with good success.
Congratulations to club member Graeme Clout who caught his first ever Marlin
fishing on the boat 50 Buks. He tagged and released the Stripy estimated at 85kg
in grid “Sherriff Drainage” which is “The Hook” area. There were also Yellowfin
caught by a couple of other boats in the 16-20kg range, well done.
Inshore
Reports of good Snapper
fishing continue to come in from around the Merc’s. Both stray lining down a
burley trail, and via soft baits and sliders have been working. An increase in
boat traffic over the holiday period might slow this down a bit, but as always,
early morning and evening fishing should still produce good results.
I have had a report of
a few Flounder up the river if you know where to look, and also some Mullet
around.
The Crays are still
around as well with both Packies and Reds being caught in the last few days.
